About the Host

Tenor saxophonist Dave Say has emerged as one of Vancouver’s most sought after musicians.
Dave began playing sax at age 14 and was influenced by greats Wayne Shorter, Joe Henderson, John Coltrane and Sonny Rollins to name a few. His adventurous inner fire and rich resonate tone stems from his broad range of musical styles in jazz, blues and funk. He has performed with such artists as Michael Buble', BB King and the Supremes and featured many times on CBC radio and the Vancouver and Montreal jazz festivals. As owner of Saywatt Studio he also works as a recording engineer and has been sound technician for Devinci's Inquest, the Molson Indy and for the 2010  Olympics. He has collaborated as leader and side man on numerous projects. With his soulful sound and melodic ideas Dave is a favorite among musicians and listeners on the club and concert scene.

About the Show: The "Say What Jazz Show" features a diverse mix of jazz that has helped shaped my ongoing musical journey. Everything from Booker Little to Michael Brecker. A late night vibe with less talk and a thought provoking atmosphere.
