As a leader, his playing displays an interest in bop and pre-bop schools of drumming. His work as a sideman though performing of with Jazz artists Doug Parker, Elmer Gill, Linton Garner, Mike Taylor, Torben Oxbol, Miles Black, Kenny “Blues Man” Wayne, vocalists Ernestine Anderson and Woody Woodhouse among others, proves him to be an accomplished drummer in many musical styles.
