Marketing that has to show up in the numbers, not just the report.
Media On Tap is a Singapore SEO and digital marketing studio building the search visibility, websites and campaigns that turn into revenue — for founders tired of dashboards that look good and change nothing.
Sectors we work in
01 — Who we are
A small Singapore studio, run by the people who do the work
We work across SEO, website design and development, social and paid — for a deliberately short list of clients, so the person who wins the work is the person who does it.
Most agencies here sell the same three things: a dashboard, a monthly call, and a slow drip of blog posts. It looks like progress and rarely moves pipeline. We started Media On Tap to work the other way round — audit first, say so plainly when search is not the real constraint, and build the technical foundation, content and authority that make ranking you the obvious outcome.
We keep the client list short on purpose: one business per niche, per market, so nothing we learn for you is ever handed to a competitor. Senior practitioners do the work — there is no junior team to hand off to after the pitch. And every account we touch, from your domain and hosting to analytics, ad accounts and Google Business Profile, is registered in your name from day one.
02 — What we do
Five disciplines, one accountable team
Every engagement starts with the same question: what is actually stopping this business from being found and chosen? The answer decides which of these we bring to bear.

03 — How we operate
Five things we do that most agencies won't
Not values on a wall. Operating constraints that cost us money and make the work better.
We turn down work we don't believe in
If your audit shows the constraint is a broken sales follow-up or a product nobody searches for, we say so and decline the retainer. An agency that will take any budget is telling you something about the quality of its advice.
Senior people do the actual work
The strategist on your first call is the strategist writing your content brief. There is no handoff to a junior team after signature, because there is no junior team. It is the single most common failure mode in this industry.
One client per niche, per market
We will not run SEO for two competing law firms in Singapore. This limits our revenue, and it is the only way to give a client our full competitive intelligence without a conflict of interest.
You own everything from day one
Domain, hosting, GA4, Search Console, ad accounts, Google Business Profile, design files, content — all registered to you. Leaving us should be administratively boring, not a hostage negotiation.
We report on money, not on movement
Impressions rose. Bounce rate fell. Domain rating went up two points. None of that pays salaries. Our monthly report opens with qualified leads, cost per acquisition, and revenue attributable to the channel, and only then explains the underlying metrics that produced them. If a number cannot be connected to a business outcome, it goes in the working document, not the report.
04 — Why SEO
Paid media is a tenancy. Search visibility, once earned, stops charging rent.
The moment you stop paying for ads, the traffic stops with it. A page that ranks in month six is generally still ranking in month thirty — usually with better metrics as it accumulates links and engagement. The cost per lead of a mature SEO programme tends to fall every quarter. Paid media's does not.
Search is also the only channel where demand raises its own hand. Someone typing "commercial lawyer singapore contract dispute" has a problem and a budget right now. No interruption-based channel reaches a person at that exact moment of need — and ranking above your competitors organically carries an endorsement a sponsored label removes.
It compounds, too. Strong organic content gives your paid social something to land on, your email programme something to link to, and your sales team something to send. A competitor can outbid you on Google Ads tomorrow with a credit card; they cannot outrank three years of topical authority in a quarter.
05 — Why the website matters
Traffic is worthless if the site loses the sale
We routinely audit sites where the SEO is working and the business is still starving. Rankings are fine, sessions are up, and the enquiry form gets four submissions a month. The leak is never mysterious once you look: a hero that describes the company instead of the customer's problem, a five-second load on 4G, a contact form with eleven required fields, and no phone number above the fold on mobile.
A website is not a brochure. It is the last hundred metres of every campaign you run — every dollar spent on ads, content and PR passes through it, which makes conversion rate the highest-leverage number in your marketing.
What a well-built site actually does
- Loads in under two seconds. Each extra second measurably reduces conversion, and Core Web Vitals now inform ranking.
- Answers the first three questions — what is this, is it for me, what happens next — before the visitor scrolls.
- Removes friction from the action you want: fewer fields, obvious calls to action, a phone number that dials on tap.
- Gives Google clean signals through semantic HTML, structured data and a crawlable internal link graph.
- Stays secure and maintained, because an outdated plugin can undo two years of SEO in an afternoon.
Typical audit findings
| Problem | Effect |
|---|---|
| Slow mobile LCP (>4s) | Lost sessions before render |
| Generic hero copy | High bounce, low scroll depth |
| Over-long forms | Fewer completed enquiries |
| No trust signals | Longer decision cycles |
| Weak internal linking | Deep pages never rank |
| Unindexed key pages | Invisible in search |
Findings vary by site. We run all six checks in the free audit.
06 — How we work
What the first six months actually look like
No agency can promise a ranking. What we can promise is a sequence, and the discipline to follow it when results are slower than anyone would like.
A word on timelines. Long-tail movement typically appears in weeks 8–12. Competitive commercial terms in crowded Singapore verticals — legal, aesthetics, property, finance — commonly take six to twelve months. Anyone quoting faster is either selling you branded keywords you already ranked for, or something worse.
Discovery
Interviews with sales and support. Which questions do prospects actually ask? What objections kill deals? This is where the content plan really comes from — not from a keyword tool.
Research
Full technical crawl, log-file review where available, competitor content and link-gap analysis, and a keyword map segmented by intent rather than volume.
Planning
A prioritised roadmap. Everything is ranked by expected impact against effort, so the cheap high-impact fixes ship before the expensive uncertain ones.
Execution
Technical remediation, template and internal-linking changes, on-page revisions, and the first wave of new pages. Weekly shipping notes, no black boxes.
Optimisation
Revise, expand, consolidate. Earn links through genuinely citable assets. Kill pages that cannibalise each other. Iterate on what the data says, not what the plan said.
Growth
Expand into adjacent topics and, where relevant, adjacent markets. By this stage the site should generate enough qualified demand that the retainer is the smallest number in the conversation.
07 — Where we work
Sectors where we already know the buying cycle
Domain knowledge shortens the ramp. These are the verticals where we understand the decision, the regulatory constraints and the search behaviour without being taught.

Questions we get before every engagement
The honest answers, including the ones that lose us work.
Most sites see measurable movement in impressions and long-tail rankings within 8 to 12 weeks. Competitive commercial keywords in finance, legal or property usually take six to twelve months of sustained work. Timelines depend on your domain history, how much technical debt exists, and how strong the incumbent results are.
Retainers in Singapore typically run from SGD 1,500 to SGD 12,000 per month depending on scope. Local SEO for a single-location business sits at the lower end. National or multi-market campaigns with content production and digital PR sit at the upper end. We scope a specific figure after an audit rather than quoting a package blind.
No, and you should be cautious of any agency that does. Nobody controls Google's ranking systems. What we guarantee is a documented strategy, transparent reporting on what was shipped each month, and a clear line of sight between the work and your pipeline. Our contracts are month-to-month after the initial term for exactly this reason.
You do. Your domain, hosting, Google Analytics, Search Console, ad accounts and Google Business Profile are registered in your name from day one. If we part ways, you keep everything, including content and design files. We do not hold client assets hostage.
Google Ads buys visibility for as long as you fund it. SEO earns visibility that persists after the invoice stops. Ads deliver traffic within hours and are ideal for testing offers and seasonal pushes. SEO compounds and typically lowers blended acquisition cost over a two-year horizon. Most healthy programmes run both.
No. We work with one client per niche per market. If we run SEO for an aesthetic clinic in Singapore, we decline the next aesthetic clinic that approaches us. This is written into our agreements.
SEO retainers begin with a three-month initial term because meaningful work cannot be judged in thirty days, then continue month-to-month with 30 days' notice. Website projects are fixed-scope and fixed-price with milestone payments. There are no lock-ins beyond the initial term.
A 45-minute call where we review your current visibility, look at two or three competitors ranking above you, and identify the constraints holding the site back. You leave with a written summary of the findings whether or not you engage us. There is no obligation and no pitch deck.
Find out what's holding your rankings back
We'll audit your site, review the competitors outranking you, and send a written summary of what we find — whether or not you hire us.
